MBT Defender Trophy Limpopo: 26 March – 01 April 2023

Day Zero – Sunday 26 March

REGISTRATION – Please arrive by 15h00 for registration and festivities at MBT South Gate Fuel Station just outside Polokwane on the the R37.

Day One – Monday 27 March

Join in the MBT Promotion before departing from MBT South Gate at around 11h00.

Travel to Louis Trichardt, and from town use the forestry roads past Hanglip to the top of the Soutpansberg, before arriving at Schoemansdal.

Day Two – Tuesday 28 March

Depart from Schoemansdal, and use 4×4 tracks to explore the Soutpansberg region.

Crossing several game farms and wilderness areas we explore the beauty of this unknown bio-diverse habitat, until we finally arrive at Bahiti Game Reserve where will once again camp under the stars.

Day Three – Wednesday 29 March

Depart Bahiti Game Reserve, and travel with the famous Van Collers pass back into the berg.

The route will finally lead us up to Medike East to the top of the mountain, where the Endangered Wildlife Trust representatives will give us a presentation on the wonderful work they are doing towards conservation in the Soutpansberg.

Day Four – Thursday 30 March

Depart from Medike East, and descend with the newly created Thomas Wilson pass to Medike West, where we say good bye to the EWT and continue to Blouberg Nature Reserve.

Activities at Blouberg will include a talk and demonstration by Johan & Nick on the Defender 4WD system and safe vehicle recovery principles.

Day Five – Friday 31 March

Explore the wonders of the beautiful Blouberg Reserve, before we make or way back into the Soutpansberg where we will stop for lunch.

After lunch we will make our way down to Camp Aquila where we will have our prize giving and dinner tonight!

Event Cost:

Per Team – R 12 000.00 (2 x participants)
Per additional person – R 1500.00
Under six years of age – free
Included: Participation, camping, entry fees, traversing fees, park fees, prize giving dinner
Excluded: Food, drinks and fuel (was daar nog iets wat by was by laaste DT?)
